Dr. Hazlewood completed a bachelors in Physiology and minor in Neuroscience at the University of Wyoming before earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry. She went on to intern with honors at the Portland Veteran’s Affairs Medical System and the U.S. Navy Medical Center, as well as a private practice, before eventually joining Vision Specialists.

Dr. Hazlewood grew up in Cheyenne, WY, and loves her new home in Nebraska: she’s actively involved in the Papillion Area Lion’s Club and the Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce. She also values helping those less fortunate by volunteering for the Special Olympics, mission trips, and our local eye care clinics. She spends her time away from Vision Specialists with her husband and cattle dog, enjoying the outdoors, traveling, live concerts, and football.

This was our first visit to Vision Specialists and I can’t say enough good things about this facility. Dr. Dayna was extremely thorough and took her time explaining all images and data that were collected during our visit. Dr. Dayna and the team at Vision Specialists in Papillion were fantastic. The eye exam was thorough and Dr. Dayna took the time to explain all of the images. I left not only knowing that my new glasses were going to be the best prescription possible, but also the condition of my eyes and what we need to watch for in the future. Getting the new glasses picked out was easy as well with all of my lens choices explained. I'll be back next year.

Excellent! After searching around for a new eye doctor, I cannot say enough good things about Dr.Dayna & the entire staff! They obviously LOVE what they do & they do it so well....Very thorough, understandable eye exam with patient & honest assistance choosing eyewear! You will not be disappointed.
