After completing her B.S. in Neuroscience and graduating summa cum laude from the University of Nebraska, Dr. Kate Holthaus earned her Doctor of Optometry from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry, again graduating summa cum laude. Dr. Holthaus now serves patients at Vision Specialists, where she loves meeting and taking care of all kinds of people.

When she’s not caring for her patients’ eyes at Vision Specialists, Dr. Holthaus loves to find new parts of Omaha to explore. She’s passionate about volunteering her eye care to her global and local communities, from international mission trips to volunteering with the Millard Lions Club and Nebraska Volunteer Optometric Services. Dr. Kate Holthaus feels blessed to practice eye care with her husband, Dr. Jared Holthaus, at the 156th & West Maple location. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors and cheering on the Creighton University Bluejays.

You are welcomed, informed, and treated in a patients first culture. Dr. Kate Holthaus is absolutely the best around. Her, her team, literally everyone is top notch.
