What are Cataracts?
As you age, proteins in your natural lens — a structure in your eye which helps you focus vision — begin to break down. They cause your vision to become cloudy, making key aspects of your daily life like reading, driving, and seeing faces more difficult. Cataracts develop gradually in one or both eyes during natural aging, putting patients over 60 years old at a higher risk.
Symptoms
If you have cataracts, you’ll eventually experience symptoms such as blurry, yellowed, or distorted vision; halos around lights; increased light sensitivity; or reduced night vision. But before that, there will be subtle signs that you’re developing cataracts — signs that our skilled optometrists can catch with a thorough cataract eye exam so we can work on restoring or enhancing your vision when the time is right.

From the time I walked in the door (greeted by Maddie who offered basically a little of everything to drink) to Corrie with the the cool technology machines, to Dr. Jared, everything felt seamless. He was very professional, courteous and efficient. Thomas helped me pick a pair of glasses that I couldn't be more proud to wear. I took a handful of Dr. Jared's business cards and will be giving them out to all of my family and co-workers. These folks get it. Thanks again."
